Okay so first pics before I forget.

I found the perfect husky

I learned how to tortilla. (to make the dough put a kilo of flour a quarter kilo of shortening and a handful of salt in the proportion. Then mix with your hand until its well mixed. Then add the proper amount of room temperature water... not sure how much but its like the seconds of pouring from a pitcher or something like that. Mix that and then dump it on the table. then massage (not knead) the dough for a good 10+ minutes till its springy and smooth. make little balls of dough and let them sit for another 10 or so minutes. Then form the tortillas and cook em up. Mine are very circular as you can see. the one on top wasn't me.) They are delicious beyond all comprehension. They are happiness.

Tis a true hotdog. I'ts the best thing I've ever eaten, well not the best but its awesome.

I also accidentally asked for the wrong hair cut and have no hair. I may or may not be crying.

This week has been pretty solid. I haven't done anything too exciting but the people continue to be awesome here. A couple people we are teaching here, Carla and Laurisa (Carlas daughter) came to church this week. It was super cool to see them there. They have had a lot of personal and family problems recently and basically they said that having something like a church to go to with friendly loving people was something that they really needed and really helped them. We went to get our hair cut (results being a little ? but oh well) and we got it cut with a couple of more or less thugs. but they're super chill and it was rather funny because out of nowhere one of them was like.. Ya,I think I could dig being a Mormon, maybe I'll join up with that vibe. (rough translation), I was basically like uhhh what? Oh go for it man. I can give you hand if you'd like, well see what happens.

Also I've said it once, I'll say it again. If it's not spicy it's not food here. Fun fact, oranges with chile are delicious. if you're feeling adventurous give it a shot sometime.

That's about it for this week I guess.  Things are going awesome here. I love it. You all better be loving life too because there's no reason not too. It's stated quite clearly in the scriptures that "Men are that they might have joy" (2 Nephi 2:25) so comply with that. keep being awesome and I'll talk to you all soon!

Hey all! So I haven't written in like a month I think. Sorry about that. I've been crazy busy every Monday when I have the chance to write but hey! I'm writing now so that's good. As far as things here are going, its awesome as always. Seriously though, things are quite rad.

First of all it rained. Twice. In the past month, which this is kind of a big deal. Not just a sprinkle but a couple hours of downpour. It was awesome, amazing I loved it. I'll put pics of things in the week to come because long story short I left my camera in someone's house and I won't be able to get it back until much later but they will come, because who wouldn't want to see my gorgeous face am I right?

Also I have a new companion. On the mission here you're with a the same person for 6 weeks to about 6 months, essentially 24/7. The guy I was with, Elder Gonzalez is on his way to San Louis Potosi where he lives cause his two years are up. the guy I'm with now is Elder Macabe from Utah. As far as I can tell he's a fly guy. It'll be a good time with him although I fear all my progression with the Spanish accent will deteriorate.

I'm doing lots of walking talking walking and talking. its pretty cool actually. Lots of interesting people.

I was talking this one girl who is a member for only a few years and asked her why she joined. She explained that she got a Book of mormon. (A book of scripture similar to the bible we have in our church. It's the history of God's dealing with the people in the Americas while the Bible is the history of God's dealing with people in Jerusalem the Middle East and what not). She started reading because she liked to read and after a week of reading here and there her mom was like, you seem different, like calmer, happier I don't know. It's cool though. 

I liked this because it just reinforced a scripture i like a lot, Moroni 7:12-16.

 12 Wherefore, all things which are good cometh of God; and that which is evil cometh of the devil; for the devil is an enemy unto God, and fighteth against him continually, and inviteth and enticeth to sin, and to do that which is evil continually.

 13 But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God.

 14 Wherefore, take heed, my beloved brethren, that ye do not judge that which is evil to be of God, or that which is good and of God to be of the devil.

 15 For behold, my brethren, it is given unto you to judge, that ye may know good from evil; and the way to judge is as plain, that ye may know with a perfect knowledge, as the daylight is from the dark night.

 16 For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God.

Basically if something is inviting you to do good things, its good and you will find life easier, have chiller times and all that jazz. It's super cool right? Do good and you'll get good in return. Sometimes it is that simple.

Dad,

Normally I'm fine on the money they give us. It's tight at times but it's all good. Things just come up here and there. For example, the president instated a rule that you can't use ipods including mp3 players like the one I have so I bought a little speaker that reads a usb drive. Also my compañon leaves this week and wanted to eat burros (similar to burritos but bigger and so much better) so a little went there but I'm getting a lot better at budgeting and everything so it shouldn't be anything frequent anymore. Also we finally have a family committed to go to church next week. It's been really tough here but I think we finally have some people that we can truly work with.

I love what you write every week.  It seriously is perfect. II'm so stoked for everything that's happening around there in Ohio. 

Also super super sorry but I can't write much again. I have 4 minutes left right now because we went to cut my companion's hair and it took almost 2 hours and my companion is about to leave so he doesn't really care if we write or not' but soon I will write the biggest letter ever. Prepare yourselves. I love it here and I am learning incredible things everyday. Keep being awesome all of you and I'll write asap!
